Terra de Lomba is a group of three buildings along the road between Cerejal and Sacões. The hamlet takes advantage of an area of gently sloping land, although it is without a plentiful water supply, and there is only one well. As they did not have much water for irrigating their fields, the villagers cultivated land further down on the fields around Vila Nova do Ceira and brought their harvest up to the village. Sheep and goats grazed around the village, and you can still find sheep and pigs here.
Above the village there are many old pine trees that until recently were tapped for pine resin. (To learn more about pine resin collection click here)
